A little bit of you, Makes a little bit of me, I see this as I climb, Our family tree. And if that little bit of you, That makes a little bit of me, Makes a little bit of my children, Further up the tree; Have we all then been gifted, With immortality? The little bit of you, That lives inside of me, Is the little bit that's witnessed, A whole eternity; For as I climb down, It’s easy to see, That the little bit of you, That lives inside of me, Is a little bit of someone else, Further down the tree. And so we live forever, Connected inseparably, A web growing ever-wider, Joining tree to tree to tree.
